A Method for a Titration
To perform the titration, rinse the clean burette with distilled water and, with the stopcock closed, rinse thoroughly with about 5 mL of your NaOH solution. Then fill the burette above the zero mark with the above NaOH solution and slowly open the stopcock to allow solution to run into the tip of the burette. Make sure there are no air bubbles in the tip because the bubbles will vary in size during the titration and affect the results. Adjust the level of the solution near the zero mark. Be sure to take readings at the bottom of the meniscus and record readings to the closest hundredth of a milliliter.
